Driving techno that will send dancefloors into raptures.
This Track of the Day is an energetic little thumper from Daniel Stefanik called Deep Inside, out on the Moon Harbour label. It’s one of those tracks that makes you wonder where it’s going the first time you hear it – but when it finally kicks in after about two minutes, you know things are just about to get a bit silly on the dancefloor.
Daniel Stefanik is an eclectic and experimental artist who has been releasing music since his debut single appeared in 2003 and he now has four full albums to his name as well as a fairly lengthy list of singles and EPs. He also continues to collaborate with his good friend, Mathias Kaden, both in the studio and on the DJ circuit, and more musical output is expected from the pair in the near future.
Stefanik still holds down a residency at The Distillery in his hometown of Leipzig, Germany, and he is next booked to play there on 15th October. He is not the most active DJ on the circuit at the moment but he has a couple of other appearances booked for September, including at Sala Fonica, Muro, Spain, with Kaden, and then at CMYK, Leinefelde, Germany, on 30th. Another notable gig in October is VOID in Berlin, Germany, on 21st.
